It made me think of something Joyce Meyers said. She said we need to not speak negative things such as “I’m broke”. She said the truth is most of us are not broke, we “choose” what we will spend our money on. We need to tell people, “I choose to save my money or I choose to put my money elsewhere.” Obviously there are those people with real financial struggles, but there are a whole lot of people who just speak negativity into their life.
