Fera’s

Opened in 1992, Fera’s Italian Restaurant remains family owned and operated which creates a relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy. Uncle and nephews started a new pizza and pasta spot, formally known as Bari’s in Denton. From their original endeavor, one brother managed the store while the other expanded businesses to Sherman, Tyler and most recently Gainesville in 2009. Although the Denton location caught fire in 1999, after rebuilding, this restaurant continues to be a favorite with locals and the college group. Don’t be confused by the name change.  Bari’s to Fera’s, but everything else remains the same. Currently all locations are open 6 days a week, offering daily lunch specials as low as $5.95. If you need a break from work or class whether a slice of pizza or to treat your family to a spaghetti supper, stop in and try their “Best of Denton” award winning Italian cuisine.

The Exchange Gold Store

Hi, this is Brandon,  owner of the Exchange Gold Store. People are wondering what the big deal is with the “cash for gold” advertisements.  Well I am here to tell you!

Gold has gone from $650.00 an ounce to almost $1200.00 an ounce in the one and a half years we have been in business in Denton.  People are getting more than double the price over what they received a year ago for the old jewelry sitting in their jewelry boxes, and never being worn.  Out of 2500 customers so far, the average payout has been on average $268.00.

The Exchange Gold Store buys gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, coins and flatware. We pay cash on the spot!  Locally owned and operated, come see us today at the northwest corner of Loop 288 and I-35,  located behind Jack in the Box.

Andrea’s Looking Good Understood

Andrea Berry is the owner and operator of Andrea’s Cosmetology, where looking good is understood!  Andrea is deeply rooted in Denton, Texas, having been raised in the house that is now the first African American Museum of Denton.  The house was last owned by her mother Juline Berry and her now deceased sister, Mattie Campbell.  The courage of these two single women laid the foundation of Andrea’s life, believing the she could have anything, and anything worth working for is worth having.  Juline and Mattie worked so hard to have peace of mind with land and owning their own home, all the time, preaching to Andrea to go to school, work hard for yourself and be the best at what ever you do!

Andrea Berry graduated from Denton High School in the class of 1984, and attended Allaiddan Beauty College, earning her license in 1990. Andrea’s Cosmetology opened in 2008 and is a multi-cultural salon specializing in African American hair, with a braid specialist on staff, as well as cuts and colors, and caters to those working nine to five.

Crossroads Montessori Academy

Crossroads Montessori Academy

Crossroads Montessori Academy is a small private preschool located a half mile north of Hwy 380 on FM 720 (Oak Grove Lane). A small country cottage setting surrounded by open pastures helps to create a nurturing and caring learning environment. Our small class sizes, intimate setting and blend of Montessori and traditional methods inspires the children to a high level of early development.

Crossroads Montessori Academy strives to motivate and educate each child at their own level. We believe an early start is key. The Montessori Method is used to help us instill self confidence, independence and building problem solving skills in our students. We achieve this through, play with a purpose, learning by experience, gardening to gain understanding, stories with a lesson, yoga for kids, computer lab and countless other ways.

Crossroads Montessori Academy is family owned and operated. We opened in November of 2008 and have had steady growth all year. Owner, director and teacher Michelle Place has a bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas. She is Montessori Certified and has 11 years teaching experience. This fall we are expanding our program to include full time extended care (7:00 am to 6:00 pm). Please see our website for further details. www.CrossroadsMA.com
